Capital Farmers Market

Off Season

Vendor Highlights

Bonnie's 20th year gardening

2022 will be Bonnie's 20th year gardening for Farmers Market. In the off season at first she rests, then starts planning for the next season. She makes lists of seeds needed, and what sold best. She has already planted her onions and started pepper plant in the house. She will plant more as time goes by so she is ready to get everything growing outside as soon as the weather allows. And believe me this lady knows garlic.

Brian Zins

Brian Zins and his wife decided to go south to the Arizona area. Smart move this year as cold as it was. They travel all over in their camper. He has developed the hobby of mining for gold. He will be back to garden for market.

Anna Mertz

Anna works full time at Expressway Inn and part time at Cooper Dog Cafe. She is busy making supplies for 2022 season. She plans to have soap again also

West Heart Place. Ami Nickolai

Most of my time is spent being a taxi to my teen and tween. I manage to squeeze in crafting during the off season. I make note cards, shirt bags, beeswax food bags, and Christmas decorations. My girls also have eggs. I am always dreaming of a garden if not gardening and making plans for next year's plants. I am attending a lot of vendor shows right now. As a family we do hunting, fishing and camping. I stay very busy.

Sterling Cuts

Heather Lang from Sterling Cuts is one busy woman. She has a store in her home in the off season at 5301 HWY 14 just north of Sterling. She also drives school bus for Kidder County School, is a wedding planner, works at the bar in Sterling and is a business manager for Guthmiller and Son Dirtworks. She also works on the farm and is farrowing hogs right now. Her kids are a great help to her also. I'm tired just reading this.

Grandkids Creations Inc. (Mary Podoll)

We started with making fishing lures during the winter and added goat milk soaps. We also do fun chocolate shapes and always willing to try something new. We have hand warmers and neck warmers too. And we have Christmas trees, we are sold out for this season, and fun family time.

Anita Hellman is busy in the off season making her beautiful crafts, attending vendor shows, and taking care of her two little dogs. One makes the mess of a big dog, but is so cute that he gets a smile in the end. She is busy coming up with great ideas for market and spending time with family. She can't wait for summer!

Capital Farmers Market members set up at Tatley Ball diamonds on Airport Road on Monday Wednesday and Friday. Anyone setting up other days is not a member and is not covered under Market insurance or rules.
